Josh & Sarah Ride: Pedalling the Planet – One Slow Trail at a Time
Meet Josh and Sarah. They are a UK-based couple currently cycling their way around the globe, taking the scenic route on purpose and using some Criterion Quantum 450 down sleeping bags.
They met thirteen years ago and have found their mutual love of travel to be a bonding factor and have spent time backpacking around Asia and Europe. As keen cyclists they felt that best way to see the globe whilst keeping their carbon footprint down was to cycle. As their awareness of climate change grew, they became determined to keep exploring but in a more sustainable, human-powered way. The result? A decision to see the world by bike, one pedal stroke at a time.

Go Slow, Enjoy The Experience
Josh and Sarah’s goal isn’t speed, but experience. They’re just over six months into a multi-year ride, currently making their way through the Balkans after braving the icy mountains of Central Europe in winter.
They ride predominantly off-road, gravitating toward nature-rich trails, remote communities, and the kind of landscapes that only reveal themselves when leaving the main road behind.

Documenting the Journey
Josh and Sarah are documenting their trip on their YouTube Channel. They currently have over 35 thousand subscribers. Their videos capture in cinematic quality the stunning landscapes they have ridden across, the warmth of the people they meet, and the strength of their bond. Their regular updates are a tonic of peace and tranquillity in our troubled world.

On such a journey, Josh and Sarah have carefully curated their gear for year-round performance and minimal weight. They are riding beautiful handmade Shand bikes and using Quantum 450 sleeping bags, which keep them warm (-10°C) without taking lots of weight and space up in their panniers
