We were asked to provide a 3-season sleeping by Adventure Travel Magazine for a sleeping bag review that took place in the 2019/20 winter season. Adventure Travel is one of the leading consumer magazines in our industry with a focus unsurprisingly on travel and adventure. In both 2017 and 2018 we were successful in submitting down sleeping bags for their 3-season sleeping bag gear test and review. In 2017 the Criterion Traveller 500 was tested and reviewed and in 2018 it was the turn of the Criterion Ultralight 350. When asked to put a sleeping bag forward for consideration we decided upon the Quantum 350 to see what reviewers with a travel focus thought about our 695g ultralight sleeping bag.
Overall, the Quantum 350 did an excellent job scoring 8 out 10 and having some excellent feedback from the reviewer who commented on the soft and strong Pertex Quantum 35g/m2 shell as well as the ethically sourced 870FP Polish goose down fill.
It weighs in at a very respectable 695g with a packsize of just a little smaller than a football. Not bad at all. The outer of the sleeping bag is made using Pertex Quantum, a lightweight shell fabric that’s constructed from fine yarns that trap air and help improve insulating efficiency. It’s supremely soft and has an excellent strength-to-weight ratio. Inside that, you’ll find 350g of 870 FP ethically sourced Polish Goose down, which is contained by trapezoid baffles to help prevent cold spots. The full-length, two-way zip (which offers zip-together compatibility) is backed for its length by a substantial baffle, ensuring no cold spots from there, and its anti-snag feature works very well.
