Criterion Ultralight 350 Makes Trail Magazine’s Top 5 Summer Sleeping Bags

Criterion is in the Top 5 Review for General Purpose Summer Sleeping Bags

A merged image taken from Trail Outdoor Magazine's August 2019 issue article - "5 of the Best Summer Sleeping Bags" of which the Criterion Ultralight 350 was includedThe August 2019 edition of Trail Magazine carries a general review of summer sleeping bags, we asked for the Criterion Ultralight 350 to be tested and it made the reviewers list of top five sleeping bags. This was a general test (comparing apples with oranges) and not a lightweight specific test. The test included down and synthetic bags and covered a wide range of weights and prices. We are happy that our bag was seen in such a positive light against the other more general-purpose sleeping bags which were tested.

Our Adventure Racing/ultralight backpacking sleeping bags are never going to be as economical on the wallet as a synthetic sleeping bag, nor are they are going to give you as much room as an all-purpose down sleeping bag, which in the review were the negative comments. However to do so well is a testimony to the quality of Criterion sleeping bags, in our designs, manufacturing, down and fabrics.

Trail liked the price of the Ultralight 350 and commented on its weight and small pack size. They also noted that the Ultralight 350, as do all of our bags, comes with a full-length zip which allows venting and practicality.

What Trail Liked about the Criterion Ultralight 350 in their Review

[themify_quote]”This is a well-priced bag when you consider it is slightly warmer than some other bags here (it has a -3°C temperature rating) and comes with a very good weight and small packed size. It’s made with 700 fill power down and a Pertex nylon shell with a water-repellent treatment like other quality bags. Importantly you also have trapezoidal construction to keep cold spots at bay along the seams. The zip is full-length, so you can vent the foot area in warmer weather. Get inside and it fits very close, with a hood that can be drawn in further with a drawcord. Overall it feels great for lightweight backpacking.”[/themify_quote]
